Oven & stove repair · Rosenberg & Fort Bend County

The dial says 350 and the oven has other ideas.

Electric ranges, gas ranges, wall ovens, and induction tops all end up on our schedule for one of two reasons: temperature that's drifted off what the dial says, or a burner or element that won't respond at all.

Signs it's time to call

The four complaints we hear most often about this appliance, and what each one usually means.

Food consistently over or undercooked at the set temperature

A drifting temperature sensor is the most common cause and one of the cheaper repairs — the sensor reads wrong even though the heating element itself is fine.

A burner clicks but won't light

On gas ranges, usually the igniter losing strength or a clogged burner port. The clicking means the spark is firing; it's the gas flow or spark timing that's off.

Induction zone drops out mid-cook

Often a control board issue or a cookware compatibility problem rather than a hardware fault — worth checking the pan material before booking a repair.

Door won't seal, oven runs hot on the outside

A worn door gasket losing heat, which also makes the oven work harder and run less accurately.

What we check, in order

Rather than guessing, a technician works through the same sequence every time so nothing gets missed and you're not paying to have parts swapped that were never the problem.

  • Temperature sensor calibration
  • Igniter and burner ports (gas)
  • Heating elements (electric)
  • Door gasket and hinge alignment
  • Control board response

How the visit runs

1

Describe the symptom

Tell us what it's doing, the brand, and roughly how old it is. That's usually enough to load the right parts before the technician sets off.

2

We test before we touch anything

A technician runs the diagnostic checks specific to that appliance rather than swapping parts on a guess.

3

You get a number, in writing

Parts and labour, quoted before any repair starts. If it's not worth fixing, we'll say so plainly.

4

Fixed, tested, and warrantied

We run a full cycle before we leave, and the 90-day parts-and-labour warranty is confirmed in writing.

Questions about oven & stove repair

Can a wrong temperature be fixed without replacing the whole sensor?

Sometimes it's a calibration setting rather than a failed part — worth having it tested before assuming a replacement is needed.

Is it safe to keep cooking if one burner won't light?

Yes, as long as gas isn't smelled. Use the working burners and get the faulty one checked when convenient — it's rarely urgent unless you smell gas, in which case turn off the supply and call us right away.

Do induction cooktops need special repair skills?

The electronics are different from gas or standard electric, so yes — we bring specific test equipment for induction control boards rather than treating it like a standard range.
