Trips the reset button repeatedly
The motor is overheating, either from a persistent jam or a motor genuinely wearing out.
Leaking underneath the sink
If it's leaking from the body of the unit rather than a loose fitting, the disposal has usually reached the end of its service life — replacement, not repair.
Loud grinding or rattling with no jam present
Loose mounting or a damaged impeller. Left alone, vibration works its way into the sink plumbing connections too.
